Tedorigawa Dam

Dam Built from Earth One of Japan's Leading Rock Fill Dams

〜Tedorigawa Dam〜

At the Tedorigawa Dam, there are tours of the operation room and the top of the dam for general groups on weekdays from mid-May to November, but not during the winter. The DVD that introduces the role of the dam watched during the tour is a short fifteen minutes, and is popular with everyone from children to adults because it is easy to understand.

The view from the 153 meter high dam is also great, and the view from the spillway is especially thrilling. There are also discharges for river environment conservation downstream from the dam. The stone used for this dam was cut from the ground at Hakusan Tedorigawa Geopark.
