Tomata Dam

A Labyrinth Dam in Northern Okayama

〜View the discharge from a glass viewing room〜

Tomata Dam is located in Kagamino, Tomata District, Okayama Prefecture.
It has the first labyrinth (zigzag structure) emergency flood spillway in Japan.

When small-scale floods occur, you can view discharges from a glass viewing room.
Since you can see discharges from up close, it is a very arresting sight.

At present, around 15,000 people visit this sightseeing spot each year.
