Eshima Ohashi Bridge, which is famous for appearing in a car commercial, has a steep gradient of 6.1%.
This gradient is in order to let ships pass safely beneath the bridge. Although the slope looks so steep that you would need to floor the accelerator in order for your car to climb it, there is actually no need to do that.
