Japan Innovative Cities Award
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism shares information domestically and abroad
about leading urban planning initiatives in order to encourage the adoption of innovative practices,
as well as promote exports of cutting-edge urban technologies and stimulate inbound investment and interest.
The Ministry has held a competition ,from 2016 to 2018. But this time, the competition will integrate
with the commendation system that a corporation sponsored.
