Preparation Workshop on the Asia Wastewater Management Partnership (AWaP)

In "3rd Asia-Pacific Water Summit" on December 11th and 12th, 2017 in Yangon, Myanmar, Japan proposed the establishment of the Asia Wastewater Management Partnership (AWaP) to share Japan’s good practices and technologies with central government officials from Asian countries. Based on the propose, “Preparation Workshop on the Asia Wastewater Management Partnership” was held on December 13th, 2017 in Yangon.
Japan, five Southeast Asian countries and international organizations participated in this workshop to discuss and identify the vision and mission of AWaP. As the results of workshop, the participants agreed to establish AWaP in summer 2018, in Japan to achieve mainstreaming wastewater management* in Asia.
