III-4, and the current profit was down 88.8 per cent from the previous fiscal
year. The ratio of profits to sales stood at 6.2 per cent in fiscal 1972 but
dropped to 0.6 per cent in fiscal 1973. The extraordinary rises in various expenditures,
to say the least of those brought by the oil crisis in aircraft fuel produced
an unprecedentedly big adverse impact on the profit-making sector.
