With the increase of people's income in the recent years, expenditures
such as travelling expenses, accommodation fees, etc., for leisure has greatly
increased and the percentage of leisure related expenditures occupied in consumption
expenditures which was 19.5% in 1967 increased to 22.7% in 1972.
Upon renecting such an increase in leisure related business, an increase
in the volume of sightseeing recreation of the people was observed as shown
in Table IV-1. The volume of sightseeing
recreation in 1973 was a total of 425 million person-times and this is about
an average of 3.9 times per people.
