6. 2 Economic Cooperation to Developing Countries


6. 2. 1 Technical Cooperation

   Japan is assisting developing countries in solving transport problems through development surveys, development cooperation, acceptance of trainees, despatch of experts, technical cooperation in project development and implementation, etc.
   In the oil-producing countries (in the Middle East and Africa) and semiadvanced countries, there are many large-scale projects under study, and Japan is active in extending technical cooperation for the benefit of recipient countries with which agreements are made on services.

 


6. 2. 2 Financial Cooperation

   There were 10 cases of yen loans offered in FY1977 for the promoting of transportrelated projects, and 10 economic grants were committed.
