SECTION 2. PROMOTlNG COUNTER-MEASURES ON DISASTER
The ministry of transport, Japan maritime safety agency and meteorological
agency have drawn up a fire prevention plan and are systematically aggressively
promoting the reinforcement of an system supplying information on surveys, monitoring,
forecasts, warnings, etc. And as counter-measures against the eruption of Volcano
Unzen which continues, policies for more strengthening observation and monitoring
systems are being promoted.
