The Ministry has taken various measures to attract international conventions to Japan on the basis of the International Convention Promotion Law and Japan National Tourist Organization also encourage foreign tourists to visit Japan.
Japan will promote exchanges in international tourism by supporting the Asia-Pacific Office of the World Tourism Organization which began to work in June 1995. Japan is also striving to expand exchange in tourism through regular bilateral consultations with the United States, Canada, the Republic of Korea and other countries. (Fig.41)
