The Ministry is working to expand the global-scale atmospheric and ocean surveillance network according to the program set by the World Meteorological Organization and other organization. It is also working on the creation a new transport system, in which the energy efficiency is high and the emission of carbon dioxide is low as a result of an improvement in fuel efficiency of automobiles and modal shifts.
