The Council for Transport Policy established the Subcommittee on Global
Environmental Problems. The subcommittee is studying towards traffic that is
environmentally friendly and energy-efficient.
To address such problems as global warming, ozone depletion and marine pollution,
the Ministry is trying to strengthen the systems for observation and monitoring
and promote environment-related international cooperation in transport.
