Section 3. Efforts to Improve Air Services to Meet Users' Needs


@ @The Ministry is taking various measures to meet users' needs that are becoming diversified and sophisticated. In the direction of flexible air fares, the Ministry introduced a new fare system to allow airline companies to fix their rates freely in a limited range. It also lowered standards for double-tracking and triple-tracking (Table 23, Table 24). Other such measures include betterment of air transport networks with the promotion of overlapping of international routes and support to airlines serving isolated islands. As for aircraft inspection, the Ministry is promoting the utilization of the skills of private businesses and foreign certificates.
