Studies on ITS for Pedestrians are being jointly conducted with various private companies that were selected from those which applied to a public bid to incorporate a wide range of existing technologies.
A total of 24 private companies, which form 5 consortiums, are participating in the joint research, including Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd., Chugoku Information Service Co., Inc., Hitachi, Ltd., NTT Communications Corporation, and NEC Corporation.
