Japan-France Cooperation Council



When the "Ministerial meeting for transport" was held in Tokyo in January 2002, it was agreed upon between Ms. Chikage Oogi, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Japan and Mr. Jean-Claude Gayssot, Minister of Public Works, Transportation, Housing of France to hold an experts' meeting for the purpose of deepening discussions on the below-mentioned 4 sectors;

  • Prevention of marine pollution
  • Aviation Accident Investigation

＊In addition, both authorities exchanged views through the inter-visitation of leaders in the sector of aviation accident investigation, as well as human exchange (exchange of trainees).
