Spreading Japanese high technology

Background and purpose

In recent years, in the major cities of Asian countries, environmental problems caused by serious traffic jams and urban traffic is increasing with economic development.
Therefore environmentally friendly railroad systems are being planned or in progress in many cities. Each Asian country's railroad has been promoted independently by advanced countries. However because of inconvenient railroad networks, there weren't as many users as were expected in the beginning.
This support project is aimed at solving the problem of railroad construction in Asia's major cities and pressing for improvement in railroad planning and construction to improve urban traffic systems.

A business summary

We carry out the following projects to transfer Japanese technology and know-how about the maintenance of city railroad equipment, such as a planning, construction and the management of city road maintenance.

  • Operate a joint research and case study project about the railroad maintenance plan for the capitals of Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.
  • Through the result of a joint project, organize a business manual (Kiss-Rail) for city railroad maintenance and promotion.
