@ @ Roads of Japan were developed considerably as shown in Table I-(II)-3, in proportion to her automobile transport which registered a marked increase in keeping with the high growth of her industrial economy.
@ @ Also development of automobile depots was promoted to achieve rationali zation and increased efficiency of atuomobile transport and to contribute to relieving the traffic congestion in major cities. Such development is shown in Table I-(II)-4, but in many cases the development is still on a smaller scale.
