The number of railway accidents has been on the decline on a long-term
basis. Still, for safer railway services, the Ministry is promoting appropriate
implementation of measures to prevent accidents at railroad crossings and recurrence
of accidents in general.
The rolling stock manufacturing industry is trying to establish a system
for developing and providing safer and more comfortable cars.
