Futami Port(area:KANTO/TOKYO)

Futami port is located in the western part of Chichijima island, and it functions as a base for sea traffic connecting the Ogasawara Islands with the mainland, and as a base for refuge, rest and supplies for the ships plying in the surrounding waters. Chichijima island is located at a distance of about 980km in the sea to the south of Tokyo, and is the largest among the Ogasawara Islands. Mountain ridges run all around from Chuo-san at the center of the island, as a result of which the periphery of the island is lined with sheer precipices.
