Akita Port（area:TOHOKU／AKITA)
Akita port,the northeastern port of the sea of Japan, is located within Akita city, where the Akita prefectural office reside, and it's the perfect port of entry to the entire prefecture.
The port's mooring berth has a depth of 10m and a lenght of 370m.
In this port resides the recently inagurated Akita Cruise terminal just a few minutes away from the Akita Port station where one can take a 15 minutes non-stop ride to Akita station on the JR East japan operated the cruise train.
Also in the Port one can find the Selion Port Tower, where one can enjoy the views from its observation deck 100m above ground. In the tower one can also take a bus that take you to Akita stationOnce in Akita station one can use the "Komachi Shinkansen"(bullet train),the local train lines or the highway buses to move around anywhere in Akita prefectureFeel free to enjoy the Kanto lantern festival in Akita city, see the Namahage visit in Oga city(at New year's eve) and visit Samurai houses in senboku city.
