Kinkyōchi Pond

Kinkyōchi Pond lies to the east of the Kannonden, and its mirror-like surface reflects the hall as well as the moon when it rises between the peaks of Mt. Tsukimachi. The pond’s environs include waterfalls, stone bridges, and small islands that represent a crane and a turtle (both symbols of good fortune).
