この階の壁に沿った台は、砲手が腰を掛ける場所として機能した。 天井近くの小さな窓は火縄銃から出る煙を排出し、包囲攻撃されている際に視界を確保する役目を果たした。
発射台
壁には長い発射台があり、防御側は高窓から敵を監視および発砲することができた。
隠れ見どころ
天守閣の骨組みの一部には、番付の文字が直接棟木に彫られている。

Windows for Venting Smoke
Platforms along the walls of this floor served as perches for gunners. Small windows near the ceiling vented smoke from the matchlock guns, to improve visibility during a siege.
Firing Platforms
Platforms along the walls allowed defenders to keep watch and fire on attackers through the high windows.
