外壁は青灰色と黄色に塗られていました。こうした鮮烈な色遣いは明治期の洋風建築の特徴です。

First period
The Old Public Hall is an example of Western style architecture, but it also has Japanese elements, such as a tiled roof. When completed in 1910, its walls were painted blue-grey and yellow, a vivid color scheme characteristic of Western architecture in the Meiji era (1868–1912).
