川尻海岸
開聞岳が約3,700年前に噴火した際、かんらん石を含む岩石が噴出され、後に川尻海岸に堆積しました。 今日でも、海岸の砂浜にこの独特の緑色の鉱物の名残を見つけることができます。

Kawashiri Coast
When Mt. Kaimon erupted about 3,700 years ago, rocks containing olivine were ejected and later deposited on the Kawashiri coast. Today you can still find traces of this distinctive green mineral on the coast’s sandy beaches.
