Crown Prince Commemorative Hall

On September 18, 1908, Crown Prince Yoshihito, the future Emperor Taisho (1879–1926), visited Yamadera. The imperial visit greatly raised national awareness of Yamadera as a tourist destination and is considered an integral factor to its 1932 designation as a Place of Scenic Beauty and Historic Site. The building constructed in the upper reaches of the temple complex as a place for the prince to rest during his visit is now known as the Crown Prince Commemorative Hall.

西元1908年9月18日，後來成為大正天皇的嘉仁皇太子（西元1879－1926）造訪山寺。皇室的大駕光臨，使得山寺一躍成為日本全國知名的旅遊勝地，亦被認為是山寺在1932年被列入日本國家指定名勝一事上不可或缺的因素。東宮行啟紀念殿位於寺院群頂端，原是皇太子在遊覽期間休息用的場所。
