Ichi-no-ike Park
This park has open spaces, gardens, playgrounds, and facilities for day or overnight camping. The flowers and natural scenery can be enjoyed all year round. There are gardens specifically for roses, tulips, camellias, and herbs; a hothouse with a large variety of native and non-native plants; and several observation decks offering panoramas of the Inland Sea. Paths crisscross the grounds, continuing across part of the lake via a boardwalk. The walking routes are suitable for people with a range of abilities.
The park is family-friendly, with plenty of facilities for children to play, including open spaces, a sand pit, and an adventure play park next to the cherry trees. Showers and campsites for tents, as well as barbecue pits, a recreation area, and toilets, are available for those wishing to stay in the park. The park’s convenient location at the foot of Mt. Takamikura gives visitors a choice of easy or more challenging hiking routes.
