大正11年（1922）頃に外壁を黄土色と白色に塗り替えられました。昭和20年（1945）代には車寄せが撤去されました。屋根飾りも取り外しており、外観が最も大きく変化した時期です。

Second period
Around 1922, the Old Public Hall was painted ochre and white. Sometime between 1945 and 1955, the carriage porches and decorative roof elements were dismantled. The Old Public Hall’s appearance changed most dramatically during this period.
