カロップとケトゥス（容器）
宝物として大切な儀式で飾られる漆器の箱から、木や布やアシで作られた日常で使うカバンやカゴなど、アイヌの村にある伝統的な容器で多種多様です。布製のカロップは火打石などの火おこし道具を収納するのに使用されています。火の神はアイヌの信仰の中で最も重要な神のため、カロップには守護の模様が施されています。ケトゥスは幅広い用途に用いられるカゴで、紐を肩に掛けたり、おでこで支えて運びます。

Karoppu and Ketus (Storage Containers)
Traditional storage containers in Ainu villages range from lacquerware boxes, displayed as treasures and used in important ceremonies, to everyday bags and baskets made from wood, fabric, or reeds. The cloth karoppu is used to hold fire-making tools such as flints. As the god of fire is one of the central gods in Ainu belief, the karoppu is decorated with protective patterns. The ketus is a general-purpose storage basket, carried over the shoulder or hung by a strap from the forehead.
