Rokusho Shrine

Rokusho Shrine is located in the Ebisu district of Bungotakada and, together with the neighboring Reisenji and Jissoin, was once part of Ebisuiwaya Temple. It is known as “the shrine of six deities,” and these celestial beings are represented by six large trees. Visitors can see the structure of the original shrine, which was constructed in a cave located east of the current shrine. This shrine located in the cave is known today as Imaebisu Shrine. Head up the slight incline on the right of the cave to reach a small area with the inner shrine (okunoin).
