牛田コレクション
共栄電気炉製作所では、2007年から注目すべきやきもの作品を購入し、ギャラリーヴォイスの「牛田コレクション」として保存している。このコレクションは、同社の社長である牛田拓造にちなんだものだ。牛田は多治見の陶磁器店が軒を連ねる織部ストリートで育ち、美濃焼に長年親しんできた。
牛田コレクションの作品は、多くの場合、ギャラリーヴォイスで開催される特別展から選ばれる。コレクションに選ばれる作品は、地元の陶芸家を代表するものや、後世の陶芸家たちのために収集・展示する価値のある優れたものが中心だ。また、牛田コレクションを継続的に拡大していくことにより、現役の陶芸家を支援すると同時に、彼らの最高の作品を公開する機会も提供している。
牛田コレクションの作品は、ギャラリーヴォイスで展示されている。また、他のギャラリーや美術館などにも貸し出しを行い、多治見の陶芸の拠点として、国内外の陶芸文化の発展に貢献している。
Ushida Collection
Since 2007, the Kyoei Electric Kilns company has been purchasing noteworthy ceramic works for preservation in the Ushida Collection at Gallery VOICE. The collection is named after the company’s president, Ushida Takuzō. Ushida grew up on Oribe Street, where many of Tajimi’s ceramics shops are located, and he has a long-standing appreciation for Mino ware.
Pieces for the Ushida Collection are often selected from special exhibitions held at Gallery VOICE. The works that are chosen for the collection generally represent local ceramicists or are otherwise exceptional in a way that makes them worth collecting and displaying for future generations. Additionally, the continual expansion of the Ushida Collection creates opportunities to support working artists while sharing their best work with the public.
Pieces in the Ushida Collection are exhibited at Gallery VOICE. They are also loaned out to art museums and other galleries to promote Tajimi as a ceramics center and to support the development of ceramics culture throughout Japan and the world.
