5階
5階は、攻撃時の作戦室として使われたのだろう。この階の両側にある床の間は、屋根の破風によって作られた内部空間である。城内の多くの柱は時代とともに建て替えられていますが、この階の柱はすべて16世紀当時のままの木材を使用している。
6階
6階は見張り台として使われたようで、広い窓は四方八方に面し、四方の山々まで見渡すことができる。この階には天井がなく、複雑な片持ち梁の屋根の構造が見える。屋根の内側には、城の守護神とされる二十六夜神を祀る小さな祭壇がある。

Fifth Floor
The fifth floor would likely have been used as a strategy room in the event of an attack. The roof gables on either side create small alcoves The alcoves on each side of this floor are interior spaces created by the roof gables.
Sixth Floor
The sixth floor would have been used as a watchtower from which to spot attackers. Its wide windows face the four cardinal directions, and the view extends to the mountains on all sides. This floor has no ceiling, and the complex, cantilevered structure of the roof is visible. Set atop the perpendicular beams of the roof is a small shrine to a deity called Nijūroku-yashin, who is said to be a guardian of the castle.
