It is legally mandatory to register your unmanned aircraft, put registration ID on it, and equip it with a remote ID function, when you fly outside unmanned aircraft weighing 100g or more. Please be sure to register your unmanned aircraft.
You need to get flight permission / approval when you fly your unmanned aircraft weighing 100g or more in the specific conditions, such as airspace and ways to fly, which are subject to the control of the Civil Aeronautics Act. There are the cases you do not need to get flight permission / approval if you have an unmanned aircraft remote pilot certificate and your unmanned aircraft has UAS certification from MLIT.
By complying with UAS Certification / Unmanned Aircraft Remote Pilot Certificate / Flight Operation rules, you can do so-called "LEVEL 4" flight (Flying unmanned aircraft remotely on an inhabited area in the situation of no access control measure on the ground).
