Serious Incident Report

Please report accident and serious incident (time and date, location, overview, etc.) to MLIT, in case of potential accident and serious incident.

Mandatory Rescue
for the Injured
負傷者発生時の救護義務

Please stop flying your unmanned aircraft immediately when it injures people, and take necessary measures to avoid expanding safety risks and damage, based on the accident or serious incident.

  • Rescue the Injured(include calling ambulance)

  • Notification of Fire and Fire Fighting

  • Report the Accident Overview to the Police

Flight Plan Report

Do I need to report my flight plan whenever I fly my unmanned aircraft in Japan ?

You need to report your flight plan only when you fly your unmanned aircraft in the specific conditions, such as airspace and ways to fly, which are subject to the control of the Civil Aeronautics Act. However, we recommend you to report your flight plan even when you fly your unmanned aircraft in the unspecific conditions.

When should I report my flight plan ?

It is after getting flight permission / approval from MLIT when you fly your unmanned aircraft in the specific conditions. At this time, please report your flight plan through DIPS2.0.

What is penalty if I flew my unmanned aircraft in the specific conditions without reporting my flight plan in advance ?

We impose on you the fine of 300,000 JPY or less, based on the Civil Aeronautics Act.

Flight Logbook

Do I need to keep and enter necessary items in my flight logbook whenever I fly my unmanned aircraft?

It is mandatory for you to keep and enter necessary items in my flight logbook when you fly your unmanned aircraft in the specific conditions. However, we recommend you to do so even when fly your unmanned aircraft in the unspecific conditions.

What is penalty if I flew my unmanned aircraft in the specific conditions without keeping and entering necessary items in my flight logbook ?

We impose on you the fine of 100,000 JPY or less, based on the Civil Aeronautics Act.

What is the case you need to report accident or serious incident ?

It is the case the accident or serious incident above potentially occurred. At this time, please immediately report the accident or serious incident through DIPS2.0.

What is penalty if I did not report an accident or serious incident ?

We impose on you the fine of 300,000 JPY or less, based on the Civil Aeronautics Act.

Mandatory Resucue for the Injured

What is penalty if I did not take necessary measures when my unmanned aircraft injures people ?

We impose on you the sentence of 2 years or less / the fine of 1,000,000 JPY or less, based on the Civil Aeronautics Act.
