Flowers bloom on Taketomi all year round, so it naturally attracts butterflies. Visitors are asked not to disturb butterflies, to observe them from a distance, and to never attempt to capture them.
Swimming is prohibited at Aiyaru Hama (Aiyaru Beach) because the strong currents are dangerous.
