御護摩祈祷
護摩の儀式の起源は、3000年以上昔のインドにまでさかのぼる。日本では、この神聖な炎の儀式は真言宗の中心的な(儀式)であり、一般的には不動明王に対して行われる。
参拝者の祈りと願いは、火を通じて不動明王に届けられる。御護摩は10世紀に反乱を鎮めるために行われて以来、毎日成田山新勝寺で行われてきた。大本堂で決められた時間に行われるこの儀式には、誰もが参加できる。

The Goma Sacred Fire Ritual
The origins of the Goma sacred fire ritual can be traced back over 3,000 years to India. In Japan, the sacred fire ritual is central to Shingon Buddhism and the deity usually invoked is Fudo Myoo. The prayers and supplications of the participants are offered to Fudo Myoo through the medium of fire. The Goma ritual has been performed daily at Naritasan Shinshoji Temple ever since the tenth century when it was first performed here to quell a rebellion. Everyone is welcome to participate in the ritual, which is performed at set times in the Great Main Hall (Daihondo).
