一湊海水浴場
静かな湾に位置する一湊海水浴場は、子ども連れの家族にとっては、屋久島で最も安全に泳げる場所の1つです。7月から8月までは監視員がいて、シャワーとトイレも近くにあります。この海岸は、屋久島でシュノーケリングやダイビングをするのに最高で、夏にはたくさんの種類の魚やカメを見ることができます。
海岸の右側には、戦士の神である八幡神社の赤い鳥居があります。天気がいい日には、海のかなたに薩摩硫黄島という小さな島が見えます。

Isso Beach
Set in a calm bay, Isso Beach is one of the safest swimming options for families with children on Yakushima. It even has a life guard from July to August, and both showers and toilets are nearby. The beach provides some of the best snorkeling and diving opportunities on the island. Many kinds of fish and turtles can be seen during the summer months.
On the right coastal side stands the red torii gate of Hachiman Shrine, dedicated to the god of warriors. On a clear day from here visitors can see the small island of Satsuma Iojima.
