真如三昧耶堂
真如三昧耶堂は真如苑のお堂であり、下醍醐の境内で最も新しい礼拝所の一つです。1997年に献堂されました。お堂で礼拝の主な対象となるのは、横になっている釈迦が涅槃に至ろうとするところを捉えた像です。
真如三昧耶堂は、以前法華三昧耶堂（法華経の殿堂）があった場所にあります。法華三昧耶堂は朱雀天皇（923～952、930～946）の要請で940年代に建てられましたが、1470年に醍醐寺を悩ませた戦争で消失しました。

真如三昧耶堂作為下醍醐區域內最新的佛堂之一，於1997年落成並舉行請佛儀式。此處本是法華三昧堂，順應朱雀天皇（923-952，在位期間930-946）的意願於940年代創建，後在應仁之亂中的1470年被燒燬，成為目前佛堂的前身。
真如三昧耶堂內，本尊釋迦牟尼涅槃佛像，刻畫出其圓寂的姿態。全球各派佛教正典中皆保有此教義與佛像的印跡。

Shinnyo Sanmaya-dō
The Shinnyo Sanmaya-dō, or Hall of Contemplation on Ultimate Truth, is one of the most recently constructed places of worship within the precincts of Shimo-Daigo. It was inaugurated in 1997. The main object of worship in the hall is a statue of Parinirvana Buddha, the historical Buddha Shakamuni as the perfectly self-awakened one, entering the realm of eternal Nirvana. This teachings as well as iconography can be found across the world in a wide range of Buddhist canonical literature.
The Shinnyo Sanmaya-dō succeeded the Hokke Sanmaya-dō (Hall of Contemplation of the Lotus Sutra), which was built in the 940s on decree of Emperor Suzaku (923–952, r. 930–946), but burned down in 1470 in the Ōnin Wars.
