The Second Gate (Ni no Mon) is the second in a series of large, defensive gates that protect the upper reaches of Gifu Castle. The gate was originally positioned several meters down the mountain, at the bottom of the steps, where parts of the original stone wall can be seen. Inside the gate was the Lower Kitchen (Shimo Daidokoro), where Oda Nobunaga’s (1534–1582) retainers lived and ate.

二之門は、岐阜城の上部を守る大きな防衛門である。 門はもともと山の数メートル下の階段の下にあり、そこには自然石の一部が見えていた。 門の中には下台所（ｼﾓﾀﾞｲﾄﾞｺﾛ）があり、そこで織田信長（1534ー1582）の家臣たちが生活をしていた。
