Oigami Onsen

Oigami Onsen is a small hot-spring village on the Katashina River east of central Numata, with 13 spa hotels and inns among the steep hills on both sides of the river. These facilities offer a traditional hot-spring resort experience with bathing in various communal tubs and meals incorporating local ingredients such as freshwater fish and seasonal vegetables.

According to legend, people have been bathing at Oigami Onsen for more than a thousand years, and the discovery of the hot springs is attributed to the deity of the nearby Mt. Akagi. In the story, the deity takes the form of a snake to fight off its rival, the deity of Mt. Nantai, another mountain to the northeast. After the snake deity is wounded by an arrow fired by its opponent, it rips out the arrow and sticks it into the ground. Hot water gushes forth, healing the snake’s wounds instantly and empowering it to drive away its adversary. Oigami Onsen is said to stand on the site where the snake-deity was rejuvenated, and the deity is enshrined at Akagi Shrine above the village.

The landscape of the village and the surrounding valley can be taken in from the Nairaku Bridge, a bright red suspension bridge over the Katashina River.

老神溫泉

老神溫泉為位於沼田市中央區東邊、片品川附近的小溫泉村，在河川兩旁林立著13間溫泉旅館和民宿。這些設施皆供應多種公共浴池，以及採用當地食材，如淡水魚和當季蔬菜製作的料理等傳統溫泉體驗活動。

根據傳說，人們來到這裡泡湯已有一千多年的歷史，而發現這片溫泉地的功勞要歸功於附近的赤城山之神。故事中的神明為了打倒位於北東的男體山之神而變身為蛇。在蛇神中了對手放出的箭受傷後，祂將箭矢拔出身體並戳進地面。熱水從地下湧出，蛇神的傷口便立即痊癒讓祂恢復對抗敵人的力量。於是老神溫泉就被稱為蛇神復活之地，傳說中的蛇神則在村莊上方的赤城神社中被供奉著。

從片品川的紅色吊橋內樂橋可以欣賞村莊聚落以及周圍溪谷的風光。

据传说，老神温泉已有一千多年的历史，相传是附近赤城山的神灵发现了这座温泉。在传说中，神灵化身为巨蛇，对抗位于东北方男体山的蜈蚣神。蜈蚣用箭射中了巨蛇，巨蛇拔出了箭，插入地面。热水便从地面喷涌而出，瞬间治愈了巨蛇的伤口，巨蛇重新恢复力量打败了对手。据说，老神温泉坐落在巨蛇伤愈的地方，蛇神被供奉在村庄上方的赤城神社里。

游客可以从内乐桥（一座横跨片品川的鲜红色吊桥）上欣赏到温泉村和周围山谷的美丽景色。
