Tatsunuma (Goshikinuma Pond Group)
Tatsunuma (Dragon Pond) is part of the Goshikinuma Pond Group, a colorful cluster of around 30 shallow ponds and marshes formed when Mt. Bandai erupted in 1888 and triggered a landslide that blocked a nearby river.
Tatsunuma is a vibrant blue-green color. The pond is surrounded by thick forest, meaning only glimpses of it are visible from the Goshikinuma Pond Trail.
